The study found that Complementary Therapists may play an important  future role in the provision of long term support to cancer survivors but that additional training and development is required to safeguard patients.

Both Diane and Nia have received additional Cancer training at the Christie Hospital in Manchester for Reflexology for Cancer care.

The Moles Support Group

We visited a support group called The Moles last night,  they support patients with Skin Cancer in Stoke on Trent and meet monthly in Silverdale with various speakers/talks but also provide the opportunity to talk with other patients and specialist nurses.

Last night was about the importance of suncream – did you know that what ever your SPF is on your suncream you still need to re-apply it every 2 hours!!!

We provided taster treatments last night to highlight how therapeutic massage either upper back, shoulders or neck and head can help support stress/anxiety and help with everyday aches and pains and promote relaxation which helps your overall wellbeing.

Thank you for making us feel very welcome – they are a super group and are always looking to support more people affected by skin cancer.
